SIDNEY EARL SHARP

JULY 11, 2024: Sidney Sharp was the visionary behind MasonDixon.org, established with the help of one of his students back in 1999. This website has been a resounding success, serving as a hub for Deaf sports in southeastern regions and beyond. His passing (July 8, 2024) has left us in disbelief. Sidney was truly passionate about empowering Deaf children and encouraging their participation in sports. His dedication was evident in his roles as a former scribe for the Mason Dixon Conference for the Deaf and as an assistant coach/teacher at the Georgia School for the Deaf (retired). Sidney's selflessness shone through as he wholeheartedly devoted his time to participate in the Mason Dixon tournaments and assist others without hesitation. His enduring legacy will live on through this website and its digital platforms. His remarkable contributions to the Deaf community, particularly the Mason Dixon Conference, will never be forgotten. We, MD Digital, will find a meaningful way to honor Sidney's legacy on this website. Your impact will forever be remembered!
